9The CVSUB50 subwooferis equipped with only oneinput – a dedicated low-frequency effects (LFE) input.Since the LFE channel is bydefinition limited to only thelowest portion of the fre-quency spectrum, it is cru-cial that your receiver’s out-put be compatible. TheCVSUB50 should only beused with receivers orprocessors that have digitalsurround decoders, such asDolby* Digital or DTS.® Donot use the CVSUB50 withcomponents that output afull-range signal through thesubwoofer output or withcomponents that only havea line-level (preamp) output,unless an outboard low-passcrossover is used to filter thesignal.Use the line-level input jackmarked “LFE” for the low-frequency effects channel.Connect this jack to the LFE(subwoofer) output on yourreceiver or processor.Connect each speaker tothe corresponding speakerterminals on your receiveror amplifier.Make sure that you haveconfigured your surroundsound processor for “Sub-woofer On.” Also configureyour receiver for 5.1-, 6.1-or 7.1-channel operation, asappropriate.
