14Basic Operation (cont.)Repeating TracksThe Repeat function is only available using theremote control, and cannot be accessed fromthe front panel buttons.Once Repeat play has been selected, JBLSoundgear will continue to repeat the selectionuntil you cancel it by pressing the Repeat but-ton % once, so that the Repeat indicator pin the display goes out.Repeat play may be selected either during playor in the Stop mode. If a programmed play list isplaying, you may select either one track torepeat, or all discs to repeat the entire play list.Repeat One TrackPress the Repeat button % ONCE to displayRepeat One p, and press the Play (or ›n non remote control) button c ^ to start play.Repeat One DiscPress the Repeat button % TWICE to displayRepeat One Disc p, and press the Play(or ›n n on remote control) button c ^ tostart play.Repeat All Tracks on All DiscsPress the Repeat button % THREE times todisplay Repeat All Disc p, and press thePlay (or ›n n on remote control) button c ^to start play.Repeat Only Selected TracksProgram the desired tracks as described in thenext section, and press the Repeat button %while in Programming mode to displayRepeat One or Repeat All Disc p.If you program a play list during Repeat Play ofan entire disc, the display will change toRepeat All Disc p.Random PlayPress the Random button before or duringplay, and JBL Soundgear will play the tracks onthe selected disc in random order. The Randomindicator y will light in the display. To returnto normal play, press the Random buttonagain.If you tap the Forward Search button §(,JBL Soundgear will randomly select a newtrack. If you tap the Reverse Search button§& once, it will go to the beginning of thecurrent track. Tap the Reverse Search button§& again, and JBL Soundgear will randomlyselect a new track.Programmed PlayYou may program a play list of up to 20 tracksanywhere on up to 3 discs.1. While in Stop mode, press the CD/TunerProgram button bÓ.2. Press one of the Disc Selector buttonsor the Disc Skip button Ô toselect a disc. If the correct disc is already inposition, then press the CD Skip/Searchn‹‹ ‹‹ §& or ›› ››n §( buttons onceto select the disc so that it appears in thedisplay c.3. Use the CD Skip/Search n‹‹ ‹‹ §& or›› ››n §( buttons to select the desiredtrack. For example, to select Track 6, press theCD Skip/Search n‹‹ ‹‹ §& or ›› ››n§( buttons repeatedly until track number“06” is displayed c.4. Press the CD/Tuner Program button bÓto store the track in the play list.5. Repeat Steps 2 through 4 to program up to20 tracks into your play list. If you previouslyselected the correct disc, you do not need torepeat Step 2 in order to program additionaltracks into your play list.6. Press the Play c^ button (or ›n n onremote control) to start play.7. If you stop play in the middle of the play listso that the program does not appear in the dis-play, the play list will remain stored in memory,but the next press of the Play button c 7will cause the entire current disc to play. Toresume playing the programmed play list, pressthe CD/Tuner Program button bÓ, whichwill bring the program back to the displayco.8. If you program several tracks on the samedisc out of order, e.g., Track 8 before Track 7,JBL Soundgear will play the tracks back in theprogrammed order, even though the TrackNumber Display d lists the programmedtracks in numbered order.9. The Disc Skip Ô button does not oper-ate during programmed play.10. Random play cannot be selected while aprogrammed play list is playing.Reviewing the Contentsof the Play ListWhile in Stop mode, press the CD/TunerProgram button bÓ to display the disc num-ber, track number, and program number.Continue to press the CD/Tuner Program but-ton bÓ to step through the entire play list.Clearing the ProgrammedPlay ListThere are three different ways to clear a previ-ously programmed play list:• While in Stop mode, press the CD/TunerProgram button bÓ, and then press theStop/Reset button *.• Turn off the Power ¡1.• Press the CD Open/Close button ‚.Adding Tracks to a PreviouslyProgrammed Play List1. Press the CD/Tuner Program button bÓrepeatedly to step through the play list until“00” is displayed as the track number c.2. Select the desired track on the desired discby pressing the Disc Direct buttonsor Disc Skip button Ô as necessary, andthen by pressing the CD Skip/Search n‹‹ ‹‹§& or ›› ››n §( buttons to proceed tothe correct track.3. Press the CD/Tuner Program buttons bÓ.Making Changesto the Play List1. Press the CD/Tuner Program button bÓrepeatedly until the disc and track number ofthe selected step is displayed c. This trackwill be replaced in the play list by the new trackyou are about to program.2. Select the desired track on the desired discby pressing the Disc Direct buttonsor Disc Skip button Ô as necessary, andthen by pressing the CD Skip/Search n‹‹ ‹‹§& or ›› ››n §( buttons to proceed tothe correct track.3.
