INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE10 Razor Blade 26D/28D – Razor Blade 28C — 909 6457 000(1)2006-01BEFORE START-UPDeck installation/removalOn the machine it is possible to install/remove either thebrush/pad-holder deck (4, Fig. C) or the cylindrical brush deck(5).For deck installation/removal see the procedure in theMaintenance chapter.Brush/pad-holder installation/removal1. According to the kind of cleaning to be carried out, themachine can be equipped either with brushes (8, Fig. K)or pad-holders (9) with pads (10) together with theappropriate deck.For the installation/removal, proceed as follows.2. Insert the ignition key (12, Fig. B) and turn it to “I”position.3. Lift the deck with the switch (4, Fig. B).4. Turn the ignition key (12, Fig. B) to “0” position, and takeit off.5. Install the brushes/pad-holders (8 or 9, Fig. K) and liftthem completely, then turn them clockwise (see thearrows in Fig. K) until the end of stroke.6. To remove the brushes/pad-holders, carry out steps 2 to5 in the reverse order.Cylindrical brush installation/removal7. Insert the ignition key (12, Fig. B) and turn it to “I”position.8. Lift the deck with the switch (4, Fig. B).9. Turn the ignition key (12, Fig. B) to “0” position, and takeit off.10. On both sides of the machine, unscrew the knobs (17,Fig. K) and remove the side skirt assemblies (16).11. Unscrew the knobs (21, Fig. K) and remove the doors(20) by pushing the knobs downwards.12. Install the cylindrical brushes (19).The cylindrical brushes can be installed on either sides.13. Install the doors (20, Fig. K) and fix them with the knobs(21).14. To remove the cylindrical brushes, carry out steps 7 to 13in the reverse order.Squeegee installation15. Install the squeegee (12, Fig. C) and fix it with thehandwheels (15), then connect the hose (11) to thesqueegee.16. Using the handwheel (16, Fig. C), adjust the squeegeeso that its rear blade (18) - in all its length - touches thefloor and that the front blade (17) is slightly detachedfrom the floor.Solution tank filling17. Open the cover (13, Fig. I).18. Fill the solution tank (16, Fig. I) with a solution suitablefor the work to be carried out.Do not fill the solution tank completely, leave a fewcentimeters from the edge.Always follow the dilution instructions on the label of thechemical product used to create the solution.The solution temperature must not exceed 104°F(40°C).Operator's position adjustment19. With the lever (1, Fig. C), adjust the inclination of thesteering wheel (2) to reach a comfortable position.WARNING!At every machine start-up, check that, betweenthe deck (4 or 5, Fig. C) and the machine orbetween the squeegee (12, Fig. C) and themachine, there is no foreign material whichmay prevent the deck and the squeegee fromlifting. This check is necessary because, if themachine has been turned off without lifting thedeck and the squeegee, when turned on again,the deck and the squeegee lift automatically.NOTEWhen the deck is installed/removed, it may benecessary to change the squeegee too,because they must have the same width. Forcorrect deck and squeegee matching, see theTechnical Data paragraph.WARNING!Before pressing the switch (4, Fig. B), alwayscheck that, between the deck (4, Fig. C) and themachine, there is no foreign material whichmay prevent the deck from lifting.WARNING!Before pressing the switch (4, Fig. B), alwayscheck that, between the deck (5, Fig. C) and themachine, there is no foreign material whichmay prevent the deck from lifting.NOTEThe squeegee and the deck must have thesame width.
