INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE12 Razor Blade 26D/28D – Razor Blade 28C — 909 6457 000(1)2006-01Battery discharge during operation6. Until the green warning light (7a, Fig. B) stays on, thebatteries allow the machine to work normally. When the green warning light (7a) turns off and first theyellow warning light (7b) and then the red warning light(7c) turn on, it is necessary to charge the batteries.– When the yellow warning light (7b) turns on, themachine residual autonomy will last for a fewminutes (depending on battery type).– When the red warning light (7c) turns on the machineautonomy is over: after a few seconds thebrushes/pad-holders are automatically stopped andthe deck is automatically lifted. Only the machinevacuum and drive systems still operate, just to drythe wet floor and move the machine to the chargingarea.TANK EMPTYINGAn automatic float shut-off system (5, Fig. I) stops the vacuumsystem when the recovery water tank (15) is full. The vacuum system deactivation is signalled by a suddenincrease in the vacuum motor noise frequency. When the recovery water tank (15, Fig. I) is full, empty itaccording to the following procedure.Recovery water tank emptying1. Stop the machine by releasing the pedal (3, Fig. C).2. Lift the brush/pad-holder deck and the squeegee withthe switch (4, Fig. B).3. Drive the machine to the appointed disposal area.4. Empty the recovery water tank with the hose (10, Fig. C).Then, rinse the tank with clean water.Solution tank emptying5. Carry out steps 1 to 3.6. Empty the solution tank with the tap (24, Fig. C). Then, rinse the tank with clean water.AFTER USING THE MACHINEAfter scrubbing-drying, before leaving the machine:1. Remove the brushes/pad-holders proceeding as shownin the related paragraph.2. Empty the tanks (15 and 16, Fig. I) proceeding as shownin the previous paragraph.3. Perform the daily maintenance operations (see theMaintenance chapter).4. Store the machine in a clean and dry place, with thebrushes/pad-holders and the squeegee lifted orremoved.PUSHING/TOWING THE MACHINEWhen it is not possible to use the machine drive system, topush/tow the machine easily it is necessary to screw theelectromagnetic brake unlock handwheel (29, Fig. C).After pushing/towing the machine, unscrew theelectromagnetic brake unlock handwheel (29, Fig. C).MACHINE LONG INACTIVITYIf the machine is not going to be used for more than 30 days, proceed as follows:1. Perform the operations described in the After Using TheMachine paragraph.2. Before disconnecting the battery red connector (4, Fig.J), proceed as follows:– Lift the covers (1 and 13, Fig. I) and check that thetanks (15 and 16) are empty, otherwise drain themthrough the drain hose (10, Fig. C) and the tap (24).– Close the covers (1 and 13, Fig. I).– Carefully lift the tank assembly (1, Fig. J).FIRST PERIOD OF USEAfter the first period of use (first 8 hours) it is necessary tocheck the fixing and connecting parts of the machine forproper tightening. Check the visible parts for integrity andleakage.CAUTION!Do not use the machine with dischargedbatteries, to avoid damaging the batteries andreducing the battery life.NOTEIn case the machine drive system cannot beused to move the machine, see thePushing/Towing The Machine paragraph.WARNING!If the handwheel is not unscrewed, themachine electromagnetic brake is deactivated.WARNING!Never start the machine when theelectromagnetic brake unlocking handwheel(29, Fig. C) is screwed (electromagnetic brakedeactivated). For safety purposes, it is advisable to removethe handwheel (29) and screw it on theelectromagnetic brake (27) only for the timenecessary for pushing/towing the machine.
