SUPERtrol II Flow Computer316. PROGRAMMING6.1 Front Panel Operation Concept for Program ModeThe SUPERtrol II is fully programmable through the front panel. The instrument setupmenu structure is based on a number of topical submenu groups with one submenugroup for each instrument function. Each submenu contains all of the individual settingsassociated with that function. During the instrument setup, setup topics are shown onthe bottom line of the display while the detailed selection options are shown on the topline. A help menu is available for each menu item.Please review the following key usage summary before attempting to setup theinstrument.CAUTION: When the computations are paused the instrument outputs will go to asafe state which is the same as if the unit lost power. All calculations stop.Key Usage Summary:MENU KEYPressing the MENU key while in the "HOME" position will select the view setupparameters mode. Thereafter, the MENU key is used to "pop up" one menu level (i.e.return to the start of the submenu group). The unit will "pop up" one level for eachtime the MENU key is pressed until finally returning to the "HOME" position ofshowing the "scroll" display list.UP & DOWN ARROW KEYSUse the UP and DOWN arrow keys to navigate through the submenu groups. The upand down arrow keys are also used to view the next/previous selection in a selectionlist within a submenu cell. When entering text characters, the UP and DOWN arrowkeys are used to scroll through the available character sets for each individualcharacter location. Press the ENTER key to accept the character and advance to thenext character.HELP KEYOn-line help is available to assist the user during instrument setup. A quick help isprovided at each setup step. Press the HELP key to display a help message for thecurrent setup selection. This key is also used to enter decimals during numeric entrysequences.NUMERIC ENTRY KEYSThe keys labeled "0 - 9", "–", ".", CLEAR and ENTER are used to enter numericalvalues.
