Using the GPSantenna other than the supplied one may cause adrop in positioning accuracy.• Depending on the type of car, reception of the GPSsatellite signals might not be possible with an insideinstallation.• Please install the supplied GPS antenna («) in anarea away from any antennas that are used with CBradios or satellite televisions.• The supplied GPS antenna («) should be installedat a position that is spaced at least 30 cm (12 inch)from cellular phone or other transmitting antenna.Signals from the GPS satellite may be interfered withby these types of communication.• Painting the supplied GPS antenna («) with(metallic) paint may cause a drop in performance.Installing the supplied GPS antennaGPS antenna is installed inside of the car. It shouldbe installed as horizontally as possible to allow easyreception of the GPS satellite signals.1 Clean your dashboard or other surface.2 Remove the separator of the metal plate(Å).3 Press the metal plate (Å) down firmlyon your dashboard or other mountingsurface.You can bend the metal plate (Å) to conform to acurved surface, if necessary.4 Remove the separator of the GPS antenna(«), and stick the antenna to the metalplate (Å).«Å4 Lower the extraction keys (\) toward thebottom, and pull out the unit halfwaywhile pressing towards the inside.\Be careful to avoid injury from the catch pins onthe extraction key.5 Pull the unit all the way out with yourhands, being careful not to drop it.57ENGLISH
