It shouldbe installed as horizontally as possible to allow easyreception of the GPS satellite signals.To mount the GPS antenna inside your vehicle:1) Clean your dashboard or other surface.2) Remove the separator of the metal plate(accessory 0).3) Press the metal plate (accessory 0) down firmlyon your dashboard or other mounting surface.You can bend the metal plate (accessory 0) toconform to a curved surface, if necessary.4) Remove the separator of the GPS antenna(accessory 9), and stick the antenna to themetal plate (accessory 0).09✎ NOTE• Depending on the type of car, reception of the GPSsatellite signals might not be possible with an insideinstallation.• Please install this GPS antenna in an area away fromany antennas that are used with CB radios or satellitetelevisions.• The GPS antenna should be installed at a positionthat is spaced at least 12 inch (30 cm) from cellularphone or other transmitting antennas. Signals fromthe GPS satellite may be interfered with by thesetypes of communication.• Painting the GPS antenna with (metallic) paint maycause a drop in performance.Ñ Microphone unit and Push-To-Talk Switch1) Check the installation position of themicrophone (accessory -) and the Push-To-Talkswitch (accessory = : DNN991HD only).2) Clean the installation surface.3) Install the microphone.4) Wire the microphone cable up to the unit with itsecured at several positions using tape or otherdesired method.-=Fix a cable with a commercial item of tape.=(DNN991HDonly)Remove the separator of the microphone, and stickthe microphone to the place shown above.Adjust the direction of the microphone to thedriver.✎ NOTE• Install the microphone as far as possible from thecell-phone.
