4 ñ EnglishÑ Acquiring GPS signalThe first time you turn on this unit, you must waitwhile the system acquires satellite signals for thefirst time. This process could take up to severalminutes. Make sure your vehicle is outdoors in anopen area away from tall buildings and trees forfastest acquisition.After the system acquires satellites for the first time,it will acquire satellites quickly each time thereafter.Ñ About the front panelWhen removing the product from the box orinstalling it, the front panel may be positionedat the angle shown in (Fig. 1). This is due to thecharacteristics of mechanism the product isequipped with.When the product is first powered on worksproperly, the front panel will automatically moveinto the position (initial setting angle) shown in(Fig. 2).(Fig. 1) (Fig. 2)Ñ Cleaning The UnitIf the faceplate of this unit is stained, wipe it with adry soft cloth such as a silicon cloth. If the faceplateis stained badly, wipe the stain off with a clothmoistened with neutral cleaner, then wipe it againwith a clean soft dry cloth.! CAUTION• Applying spray cleaner directly to the unit mayaffect its mechanical parts. Wiping the faceplatewith a hard cloth or using a volatile liquid such asthinner or alcohol may scratch the surface or erasescreened print.Ñ How To Reset Your UnitIf the unit or the connected unit fails to operateproperly, reset the unit.1 Press the button.The unit returns to factory settings.✎ NOTE• Disconnect the USB device before pressing the button. Pressing the button withthe USB device connected can damage the datastored in the USB device. For how to disconnect theUSB device, see How to Play Music (P.15).• When the unit is turned on after resetting, the InitialSETUP screen appears. See First Step (P.7).
