3DNX719VHDPrecautions2WARNINGTo prevent injury or fire, takethe following precautions:tTo prevent a short circuit, never put or leaveany metallic objects (such as coins or metaltools) inside the unit.tDo not watch or fix your eyes on the unit’sdisplay when you are driving for any extendedperiod.tIf you experience problems during installation,consult your Kenwood dealer.Precautions on using this unittWhen you purchase optional accessories, checkwith your Kenwood dealer to make sure thatthey work with your model and in your area.tYou can select language to display menus,audio file tags, etc. See Language setup(P.78) in the Instruction Manual.tThe Radio Data System or Radio Broadcast DataSystem feature won’t work where the service isnot supported by any broadcasting station.Protecting the monitorTo protect the monitor from damage, do notoperate the monitor using a ballpoint pen orsimilar tool with the sharp tip.Lens foggingWhen you turn on the car heater in coldweather, dew or condensation may form onthe lens in the disc player of the unit. Calledlens fogging, this condensation on the lensmay not allow discs to play. In such a situation,remove the disc and wait for the condensationto evaporate. If the unit still does not operatenormally after a while, consult your Kenwooddealer.Precautions on handling discstDo not touch the recording surface of the disc.tDo not stick tape etc. on the disc, or use a discwith tape stuck on it.tDo not use disc type accessories.tClean from the center of the disc and moveoutward.tWhen removing discs from this unit, pull themout horizontally.tIf the disc center hole or outside rim has burrs,use the disc only after removing the burrs witha ballpoint pen etc.tDiscs that are not round cannot be used.t8-cm (3 inch) discs cannot be used.tDiscs with coloring on the recording surface ordiscs that are dirty cannot be used.tThis unit can only play the CDs with.This unit may not correctly play discs which donot have the mark.tYou cannot play a disc that has not beenfinalized.
