4Quick Start GuideAcquiring GPS signalThe first time you turn on this unit, you mustwait while the system acquires satellite signalsfor the first time. This process could take upto several minutes. Make sure your vehicleis outdoors in an open area away from tallbuildings and trees for fastest acquisition.After the system acquires satellites for the firsttime, it will acquire satellites quickly each timethereafter.Cleaning the UnitIf the faceplate of this unit is stained,wipe it with a dry soft cloth suchas a silicon cloth. If the faceplateis stained badly, wipe the stain offwith a cloth moistened with neutralcleaner, then wipe it again with aclean soft dry cloth.tApplying spray cleaner directly to theunit may affect its mechanical parts.Wiping the faceplate with a hard cloth orusing a volatile liquid such as thinner oralcohol may scratch the surface or erasescreened print.How to Reset Your UnitIf the unit or the connected unit failsto operate properly, reset the unit.1 Press the button.The unit returns to factory settings.NOTEtDisconnect the USB device before pressingthe button. Pressing the button with the USB device connected candamage the data stored in the USB device.For how to disconnect the USB device, seeHow to Play Music (P.15).tWhen the unit is turned on after resetting,the Initial SETUP screen appears.
