The unit returns to factorysettings when the Reset button is pressed.If the unit still fails to operate properly afterthe Reset button has been pressed, contactyour local KENWOOD dealer for assistance.• Press the reset button if the disc autochanger fails to operate correctly. Normaloperation should be restored.• We recommend the use of (page. 28) to prevent theft.• Characters in the LCD may become difficultto read in temperatures below 41 ˚F (5 ˚C).• The illustrations of the display and the panelappearing in this manual are examples usedto explain more clearly how the controls areused. Therefore, what appears on the displayin the illustrations may differ from whatappears on the display on the actualequipment, and some of the illustrations onthe display may represent somethingimpossible in actual operation.NOTE Lens FoggingRight after you turn on the car heater in coldweather, dew or condensation may form onthe lens in the CD player of the unit. Calledlens fogging, CDs may be impossible to play.In such a situation, remove the disc and waitfor the condensation to evaporate. If the unitstill does not operate normally after a while,consult your Kenwood dealer.Cleaning the Faceplate TerminalsIf the terminals on the unit or faceplate getdirty, wipe them with a dry, soft cloth.Cleaning the UnitIf the faceplate of this unit is stained, wipe itwith a dry soft cloth such as a silicon cloth.If the faceplate is stained badly, wipe the stainoff with a cloth moistened with neutralcleaner, then wipe neutral detergent off.Applying spray cleaner directly to the unit mayaffect its mechanical parts. Wiping thefaceplate with a hard cloth or using a volatileliquid such as thinner or alcohol may scratchthe surface or erases characters.Cleaning the CD SlotAs dust tends to accumulate in the CD slot,clean it every once in a while.
