• 4/¢ (TUNE) buttonsPress the 4 button to make decreasing seeks (using thepreset tuning mode).Press the ¢ button to make increasing seeks (using the presettuning mode).Use to move the cursor left or right during station name input.• AM/FM buttonsPress the AM button to select the AM band.Press the FM button to select and switch between FM1, FM2,and FM3 bands.During station name input, selects digits and symbols.• DIRECT/OK buttonDuring station name input, stores the already input data inmemory and ends the input mode.Enters and cancels the Direct access tuning mode.• 38 buttonSelects the type of characters at the time of entering the stationname.• Number/letter entry buttons (KDC-X617 only)Press buttons #1-6 to recall preset stations.Use to enter letters (alphabetical) during station name preset.Use to enter frequency of the desired station during Directaccess tuning mode.Tuner features— 33 —• VOLUME buttonsPress the + button to turn the volume up.Press the – button to turn the volume down.• SRC buttonEach time you press the SRC button, the mode switches asfollows:• The mode switches to the next mode from any mode whichcannot be used.• The external disc control mode will differ depending on the unitthat is connected.• To enable the selection of External disc control mode 2/AUXmode, you should connect optional switching adapter KCA-S210A (which allows you to select both External disc controlmode 2 and AUX mode) or CD changer (KDC-CPS87, KDC-CX87, KDC-CPS85, KDC-CX85, KDC-CPS82 or KDC-CX82) orswitching adapter CA-C1AX (which allows you to select AUXmode only).During the AUX mode, "AUX" (or AUX-name display) will showin the display.When the CA-C1AX is being used, the AUX Mode will replacethe External Disc Control Mode.• ATT buttonTurns down the volume quickly. To return the volume to itsoriginal level, press the button again.
