18 | KDC-U7053BT/ KDC-U7053BTLDisplay settingsDisplay & Illumination settingYou can set the display and illumination.1 Enter the Function setting modePress and hold the Control knob.2 Select the Display & Illumination setting itemSelect the following items using the Controlknob.“Settings” > “DISP&ILLUMI”3 Select a desired Display & Illumination settingitemTurn the Control knob to select Display &Illumination setting item, and then press theControl knob.Display Description“DISP&ILLUMI”“Display Dimmer” Dims the display part in conjunction with thelight switch of the vehicle.“Auto”: Dims the display in conjunction withthe Light switch of the vehicle.“Manual1”: Dims the display constantly.“Manual2”: Dims the display darker than thatin the Manual1 mode.“OFF”: Does not dim the display.“Contrast” Sets the display contrast.“1” – ”10” – “30”“DISP NEGA/POSI” Switches the panel display between positiveand negative modes.“NEGA1”: Displays the text in the negativemode.“NEGA2”: When the interior light is off, thetext is displayed in the negativemode; when the interior light is on,the text is displayed in the positivemode.“POSI1”: Displays the text in the positivemode.“POSI2”: When the interior light is off, the textis displayed in the positive mode;when the interior light is on, the textis displayed in the negative mode.“Text Scroll” Sets the method of scrolling to view hiddentexts.“Auto” : Scrolls.“Once” : Scrolls once.“OFF” : Does not scroll.“BT DVC Status” You can display the connection status, signalstrength, and battery level.: Battery level of cell-phone.: Signal strength of cell-phone.“ILLUMI Dimmer” Reduces the key Illumination brightness.“Auto”: Dims the illumination in conjunctionwith the Light switch of the vehicle.“Manual1”: Dims the illumination constantly.“Manual2”: Dims the illumination darker thanthat in the Manual1 mode.“OFF”: Does not dim the illumination.“ILLUMI Effect” Sets whether the key illumination color ischanged in conjunction with the key operation.“ON” / “OFF”( : Factory setting)4 Determine the Display & Illumination settingTurn the Control knob to select a desiredsetting, and then press the Control knob.The previous item is displayed.5 Exit the Function setting modePress and hold the [ ] button.
