A "T" indicator appears on the display, and the transmitter sends the desired tone when youpress the PTT switch.7 Autopatch Operations (U.S.A. versions only)Some repeaters offer a service called autopatch. This feature allows you to dial a telephone number from yourtransceiver and carry on a telephone conversation.This function requires the use of a DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) keypad. The transceiver also provides fouradditional keys - A, B, C, and D - in addition to the normal 12 keys found on your telephone.These keys are required for various control operations by some repeater systems.
