8PROGRAMMABLE AUXILIARY FUNCTIONSYour dealer can program the Side 1 and Side 2 keys each withone of the following functions.Note: The duration of pressing a key to activate a function isdependent on your dealer setting. Your dealer may have setsome keys to be held down for a short duration instead of beingmomentarily pressed. Ask your dealer for details on which keysneed to be held down to activate their functions.■ NoneNo function has been programmed.■ 2-TonePress this key to transmit a 2-tone code.■ AutodialDTMF Autodial allows you to make a private call to anotherparty.■ Calling AlertA calling alert tone allows you to alert party members thatyou are making a call. When making a call, first hold downthis key.• While holding down the key, the calling alert tone will sound.Release the key to end the tone, then hold down the PTT switchand speak into the microphone to transmit.■ EmergencyPress and hold this key to enter Emergency mode.■ Key LockPress this key to lock /unlock the transceiver keys. WithoutStatus Memory, when the transceiver power is turned OFFand then ON again, the Key Lock function will be cancelled.
