14Preparation sectionOperation of remote control unitLoading batteries1 Remove the cover. 3 Close the cover.÷ Insert two R6 (“AA”-size) batteriesfollowing the polarity indications.2 Insert batteries.OperationPlug the power cord into the mains power outlet andpress the on/standby ( POWER) key of the remotecontrol unit to turn power ON. After the power has beenturned ON, press the desired key.To turn power off, press the on/standby( POWER) keyagain.The power mode enters the STANDBY mode in whichthe “STANDBY” indicator lights up. (The “TIMER” in-dicator also lights in this mode if a timer program hasbeen activated.)÷ When pressing more than one remote control key suc-cessively, press the keys securely by leaving an intervalof 1 second or more between the key presses.1.The provided batteries are intended for use in operation checking, and their service life may be short.2.When the remote controllable distance becomes short, replace both of the batteries with new ones.3.If direct sunlight or the light of a high- frequency fluorescent lamp (inverter type, etc.) is incident to the remotesensor, malfunction may occur.
