2 Service66 Keysight 53147A/148A/149A Assembly Level Service GuidePower Reference Oscillator Level AdjustmentTwo methods for calibrating the level of the Power Meter reference signal areprovided in this section. Both methods provide acceptable results, and either onecan be used.Method 1Equipment RequiredKeysight E4418B Power MeterKeysight 8481A Power SensorKeysight 11730A Power Sensor Cable (supplied with 53147A/148A/149A)1 Connect the Keysight 11730A Power Sensor Cable to the Keysight 8481APower Sensor (see Figure 2-4).Figure 2-4 E4418B Power Meter Zeroing and Calibration Test SetupNOTE – To ensure that the results are valid, the Keysight 53147A/148A/149A and thetest equipment should be powered on for at least 30 minutes prior tobeginning the calibration procedure. This allows the internal temperatures ofthe equipment to stabilize.– The calibration of the Keysight E4418B Power Meter must be no more thanone level removed from NIST (National Institute of Standards andTechnology). If the E4418B Power Meter’s calibration is more than one levelremoved from NIST, the test results will be invalid.– This test is appropriate for the Keysight 53147A, 53148A, and 53149A.Keysight E4418BPower MeterInputOutput connector (with Keysight 8481APower Sensor Attached)
