Substitute equipment may be used if it meets or exceeds therequired characteristics listed in Table 1-1.Repair ConsiderationsElectrostatic DischargeElectronic components and assemblies in the Keysight 53147A/148A/149A canbe permanently degraded or damaged by electrostatic discharge. Use thefollowing precautions when servicing the instrument:1 ENSURE that static-sensitive devices or assemblies are serviced at static-safework stations providing proper grounding for service personnel.2 ENSURE that static-sensitive devices or assemblies are stored in staticshielding bags or containers.3 DO NOT wear clothing subject to static-charge buildup, such as wool orsynthetic materials.4 DO NOT handle components or assemblies in carpeted areas.5 DO NOT remove an assembly or component from its static shielding protectionuntil you are ready to install it.6 AVOID touching component leads. (Handle by packaging only.)Surface Mount RepairNone of the assemblies in the instrument that use surface-mount componentscan be repaired outside of authorized Keysight Service Centers.
