Although the APPLy command providesthe most straightforward method to program the powersupply, the low- level output setting commands give you moreflexibility to change the individual parameters.CURRent {|MINimum|MAXimum|UP|DOWN}This command programs the immediate current level of thepower supply. The immediate level is the current value ofthe output terminals.The CURRent command changes the output of the powersupply to the newly programmed value regardless of theoutput range presently selected.You can substitute MINimum or MAXimum in place of aspecific value for the current parameter. MIN selects thelowest current values of 0 A. MAX selects the highest currentvalues allowed for the selected range.This command also increases or decreases the immediatecurrent level using the UP or DOWN parameter by apredetermined amount. The command CURRent:STEP setsthe amount of increment or decrement. Notice that a newincrement setting will cause an execution error - 222 (Dataout of range) when the maximum or the minimum ratedcurrent is exceeded.CURRent? [MINimum|MAXimum]Return the presently programmed current level of the powersupply. CURR? MAX and CURR? MIN return the highest andlowest programmable current levels for the selected range.CURRent:STEP { value>|DEFault}Set the step size for current programming with the CURRentUP and CURRent DOWN commands.
