Allwork on electronic assemblies should be performed at a static-safe work station.The following figure shows an example of a static-safe work station using twotypes of ESD protection. Purchase acceptable ESD accessories from your localsupplier.- Conductive table-mat andwrist-strap combination.- Conductive floor-mat andheel-strap combination.Both types, when used together,provide a significant level of ESDprotection. Of the two, only thetable-mat and wrist-strapcombination provides adequate ESDprotection when used alone.
