You can onlyinstall the license key on the specific instrument for which it was created.Transportable LicensesTransportable licenses are a type of license offering deployment duration thatis not fixed to a specific instrument model and serial number. Transportablelicenses are identified in the product structure by a “T” in the second characterand a “P” or an "L" in the third character of the option designator:Example: N6141EM0D-1TP or N9141EM0D-1TLTransportable licenses require a connection to the Keysight server only formanaging the transfer of the license to and from the instrument. Theconnection to the Keysight server may be via the instrument itself or anexternal PC. The Keysight licensing server also provides for storage of unusedlicenses that have been transported off instruments but are awaitingassignment to new instruments. The server will limit the number of transportsper 30 day period per application license to 10.Transportable licenses require redemption and installation of the license beforethe first use. This allows the user to determine on which instrument to initiallyinstall the application license.It is recommended that instruments be at the same instrument softwarerelease to ensure the latest code is available on each instrument so that theuser experience is identical between instruments. This is particularly importantwhen transporting the license for a newly-released application, which may onlybe available in the latest software release.Network LicensesNetwork licenses are available over the customer’s network from a server thecustomer configures. Network licenses are identified in the product structureby an "N" in the second character and either a "P" or an "L" in the thirdcharacter, indicating a term of either Perpetual or 1 year (12 months),respectively.Example: N6141EM0D-1NP
