On this page, you can manage the EthernetDisk mini’s MediaServer settings (Fig. 6.2.A.).6.2.1. Enabling the MediaServerBy default, the MediaServer is disabled. To enablethe MediaServer, click on Enable MediaServer.6.2.2. Selecting Shares with Media ContentOne easy step allows you to define which folder andcontent types will be shared among the digital home au-dio/video network. The multimedia files located in theselected folders will be available for playback on yourdigital media player.Select the folder by clicking All in the right-handcolumn to share all content types (music, video, pho-tos). Or, specify the content type you would like toshare by clicking on the Music, Photo and Videobox.Click on Apply Changes to confirm your selection.The media server will now search for the content youelected to share in the Status section of the Mediamenu page.After a few minutes, refresh your browser and youwill see the result of the server scan. The scannedcontent should now be available for playback fromyour digital media adapter.New multimedia content added to the selectedshared folders is automatically scanned, avoiding man-ual or scheduled rescan. The database will constantlyupdate itself, thereby making new content quickly avail-able on your DMA.6.2.3.
