Instructions for safe use of these acces-sories are located in separate instruction manuals,which are provided by the accessory manufacturerand are located in the Owner’s Information Package.Your Lance Trailer has been built using parts fromvarious component manufacturers. Where thismanual indicates that you should read anothermanual, and you do not have that manual, call LanceCustomer Service at 661-949-3322 or email service@lancecamper.com for assistance.USE AN ADEQUATE TOW VEHICLE AND HITCHIf the tow vehicle or hitch is not properly selected andmatched to the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR)of your trailer, you can cause an accident that couldlead to death or serious injury. Tow vehicle and hitchmanufacturers are the appropriate source of compe-tent advice.If you already have a tow vehicle, know your vehicletow rating and make certain the trailer’s rated capac-ity is less than or equal to the tow vehicle’s ratedtowing capacity.It is important that the trailer is matched with anappropriate tow vehicle. A tow vehicle with an in-adequate Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR)may experience mechanical failures and not provideadequate towing stability. Consult your Lance Trailerdealer for help in selecting the vehicle hitch andrelating hitching accessories. Towing the trailer withan inadequate tow vehicle can cause damage to thetrailer frame.If you have a bumper pull trailer, you may need aweight distributing hitch, depending on your trailer,load requirements and tow vehicle. Contact yourLance Trailer dealer for more information on a weightdistributing hitch.DANGERUse of an under-rated hitch, ball or tow ve-hicle can result in loss of control leading todeath or serious injury.Make certain your hitch and tow vehicle arerated for your trailer.Trailer InformationThe trailer Federal Certification (VIN) tag contains thefollowing critical safety information for the use of yourtrailer:MANUFACTURER: Name of the trailer manufacturer.DATE OF MANUFACTURE: Month and year thetrailer was manufactured.
