25If you cannot physically occupy this waypoint, but canmake the necessary visual observation, you should doso and record an offset estimating the distance andbearing to the grid waypoint. If you are recording mea-surements made by an instrument, you should NOTrecord an offset but rather try to make a recording asclose as possible to the position.- When you have occupied as many of the grid way-points as you can and recorded the necessary observa-tions and measurements at each, highlight the Closefield at the bottom of the Logging screen and pressENTER. This closes the grid feature and returns you tothe New Feature selection screen where you mayeither log data to another feature, even to another grid,or close the entire job.11.Changing the Parameters of a Grid Feature Before Log-ging GIS DataWhen you navigate to the location of the grid, you maydecide to readjust the size and orientation of the gridbased on field observations that you did not foresee backin the office.
