[OFF]AUTOMATIC CLOCK SETTINGNOTES:• If a cable converter box is being used, make sure it isturned on.• You must use the remote control for the clock setting.• If the unit is connected directly to a cable converterbox or satellite box, the local PBS station must beselected on the cable box itself and the unit must beset to the output channel of the cable converter boxor satellite box (usually channel 3 or 4), to enable toset up or correct the clock automatically.1 Press [SET-UP].Using [KK / LL] select "SETTINGCLOCK", then press [ENTER].2 Press [ENTER] to select "ON".3 Press [LL] to select"AUTO CLOCK CH SEARCH".Then press [ENTER].• The unit begins searching forthe station which contains theauto clock set signal. Thesearch for a signal may take upto 20 seconds per channel.• When the search has finished,"_ _" appears at the lower left ofthe screen.NOTES:• During AUTO CLOCK CH SEARCH, the picture maybe distorted.• If no number appears on the TV screen, there are nostations in your area which contain the Auto Clocksignal. Auto Clock Setting is not possible. Please useManual Clock Setting on this page.4 Write down the numbers that appear on thescreen. We suggest that you shouldset the clock manually when you first set up theunit, then set the auto clock setting to "ON" to cor-rect the time periodically.NOTE:• If you cannot receive a station with time signals, autoclock setting is not available. Use manual setting only.MANUAL CLOCK SETTINGIn the example below, the clock is to be set to:DATE: May 5th, 2006SETTING TIME: 5:40PM1 Press [SET-UP].Use [KK / LL] to point to"SETTING CLOCK", thenpress [ENTER].2 Use [KK / LL] to point to"MANUAL CLOCK SET", thenpress [ENTER].• If there is no local PBS station inyour area or on your cable sys-tem, select "AUTO CLOCK" and press [ENTER]to turn "OFF" the function before this step.3 Use [KK / LL] to set yourdesired month, day, year, hourand minute.Use [s / B] to move toanother item.4 Press [SET-UP].Although seconds are notdisplayed, they begin countingfrom 00 when you press[SET-UP].
