Flex EM/EX HazLoc System Instruction ManualJune 2019Page 45 of 624.2.6 I-CHIP Programming PortFig. 19Fig. 20Refer to the I-CHIP PROCEDURE within the Enrange Flex EM/EX/Pro TransmitterATEX/IECEx Information sheet (198-80210-0010).The I-CHIP programming port located on the decoder module (see Fig. 19 for EM andFig. 20 for EX) inside the receiver is designed for the purpose of transferring systemserial number/ID code either from the I-CHIP to the receiver or vice versa. If you wish totransfer system information from the receiver to the I-CHIP, insert the I-CHIP onto theprogramming port (JP6 jumper not inserted), wait until the Status LED on the decodermodule turns a solid green (within 2 seconds), and then take the I-CHIP out of theprogramming port (programming completed). At this time the I-CHIP should alsopossess the same serial number/ID code as the receiver. If the Status LED on thedecoder module displays a solid red light after inserting the I-CHIP (programmingfailed), then you must reinsert the I-CHIP one more time. On the other hand, if you wishto transfer system information from the I-CHIP to the receiver, then you must first insertJP6 jumper prior to inserting the I-CHIP, then wait for the green light to appear on theStatus LED. At this time the receiver should also possess the same system informationas the I-CHIP. Please note that the receiver unit must be powered in order to proceedwith the programming.JP7JP6JP5JP4JP3JP2JP1SYSTEM FUNCTIONS TESTPB1~PB4 PB5~PB8PB9~PB12I-CHIP PORT
