11For European countriesTo prevent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off button isprovided. To start the tool, push the lever to the left, press in the lock-off buttonand then pull the switch trigger. Release the switch trigger to stop.For all countries other than European countriesTo prevent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off button isprovided. To start the tool, press in the lock-off button and pull the switch trig-ger. Release the switch trigger to stop.WARNING:• NEVER use tool without a fully operative switch trigger. Any tool with aninoperative switch is HIGHLY DANGEROUS and must be repaired beforefurther usage.• For your safety, this tool is equipped with a lock-off button which preventsthe tool from unintended starting. NEVER use the tool if it runs when yousimply pull the switch trigger without pressing the lock-off button. Returntool to a Makita service center for proper repairs BEFORE further usage.• NEVER tape down or defeat purpose and function of lock-off button.Lighting up the lampsFor model LS0714F, LS0714FLCAUTION:• This is not a rainproof light. Do not wash the light in water or use it in arain or a wet area. Such a conduct can cause an electric shock andfume.• Do not touch the lens of the light, as it is very hot while it is lighted orshortly after it is turned off. This may cause a burn to a human body.• Do not apply impact to the light, which may cause damage or shortedservice time to it.• Do not keep casting the beam of the light to your eyes. This can causeyour eyes to be hurt.• Do not cover the light with clothes, carton, cardboard or similar objectswhile it is lighted, which can cause a fire or an ignition.Push the upper position of the switch for turning on the light and the lowerposition for off.Move the light to shift an area of lighting.NOTE:• Use a dry cloth to wipe the dirt off the lens of lamp.
