10CONTACT EDGE against the crown molding stop-pers as shown in the figure. Adjust the crown mold-ing stoppers according to the size of the crownmolding. Tighten the screws to secure the crownmolding stoppers. Refer to the table (C) for themiter angle.4. Cutting aluminum extrusionWhen securing aluminum extrusions, use spacerblocks or pieces of scrap as shown in the figure toprevent deformation of the aluminum. Use a cuttinglubricant when cutting the aluminum extrusion toprevent build-up of the aluminum material on theblade.CAUTION:• Never attempt to cut thick or round aluminumextrusions. Thick aluminum extrusions may comeloose during operation and round aluminumextrusions cannot be secured firmly with this tool.5. Wood facingUse of wood facing helps to assure splinter-freecuts in workpieces. Attach a wood facing to theguide fence using the holes in the guide fence.See the figure concerning the dimensions for a sug-gested wood facing.CAUTION:• Use straight wood of even thickness as the woodfacing.• Use screws to attach the wood facing to the guidefence. The screws should be installed so that thescrew heads are below the surface of the woodfacing.• When the wood facing is attached, do not turn theturn base with the handle lowered. The blade and/or the wood facing will be damaged.6. Cutting repetitive lengthsWhen cutting several pieces of stock to the samelength, ranging from 240 mm (9-29/64”) to 400 mm(15-3/4”), use of the set plate (optional accessory)will facilitate more efficient operation. Install the setplate on the holder (optional accessory) as shownin the figure.Align the cutting line on your workpiece with eitherthe left or right side of the groove in the kerf board, and while holding the workpiece from moving, movethe set plate flush against the end of the workpiece. Then secure the set plate with the screw. When theset plate is not used, loosen the screw and turn theset plate out of the way.NOTE:• Use of the holder-rod assembly (optionalaccessory) allows cutting repetitive lengths up to2,200 mm (7.2 ft.) approximately.1.
