Inserting a Battery-~The Mamiya M645 uses one 6V silveroxide battery 4SR44 (Eveready No544, UCAR 544, Mallory PX28 orequivalent or alkaline battery 4LR441. Pull the battery chamber cover latch(26) slightly toward the lens and thechamber cover will open2. Next, insert the battery, exercisingcaution that the + poles match thoseshown on the diagram of the chamber.Battery removal will be simplified if theb a t t e r y r e m o v a l r i b b o n ( A ) p a s s e s u n d e rand over the battery.CAUTION:1. Carefully wipe the contacts of thebattery before inserting it into the cham-b e r . F a i l u r e t o d o s o c o u l d r e s u l t i n p o o relectrical contact and consequent er-ratic functioning of the camera2. When the camera is not used for along period of time, remove the batteryand store it in a cool, dry place3. When replacing a battery, properlydispose of the used battery immediate -ly as it is potentially dangerous Thebatteries are explosive and shouldtherefore never be thrown into a fire.4. A battery that is not used for a longperiod, even if it is properly stored in adry, cool place, may lose some of itscharge. Consequently, check its condi-tion after replacing it in the camera withthe battery check button.2 1
