If theremoval of the SVP Server is intentional, the administrator should lockand idle the system prior to removing a SVP Server.Whenever a SVP Server is added to the system, the change isseamless and does not affect Wireless Telephone calling functionality.Adding a SVP ServerIn the IP PBX environment, a new SVP Server is detected within twoseconds of being added to the system (booted/configured/connected).When detected, any Wireless Telephone not active in a call willimmediately be forced to check-out and check-in again. Any WirelessTelephone in a call will immediately switch to the SVP Server thatshould provide its “timing” function. This switch should not benoticeable to the user since it is similar to a normal handoff betweenaccess points. When the Wireless Telephone ends the call, it will beforced to checkout and checkin again.Removing a SVP ServerWhen a SVP Server is removed from the system it is detected withintwo seconds. Wireless Telephones not in calls are immediately forced tocheckout and checkin again.
