The description is displayed in the Printers window.A page separater can be selected so that your print job has itsown title page and identifies it from other jobs that were sentto the printer.A test page can be printed to test the connection from thecomputer to the printer.DETAILS PROPERTIESUse the details properties for managing printer ports anddrivers used by your computer. If your computer has morethan one port or driver, they can be selected from here.Timeout and Spool settings can also be set from here. Timeoutcontrols how much time should pass before the print jobmust be resent or cancelled. The spool settings control howthe job should be sent to the printer—in small pieces, or as asingle file. When sent as a single file, your computer canfocus on other tasks after the job is sent.PAPER PROPERTIESUse the paper properties for setting the basic paper handlingsettings.SHARING PROPERTIESIf your computer is connected to the printer using a localconnect, and if it also connected to a network, use the sharingproperties to let other computers on the network use theprinter.GRAPHICS PROPERTIESUse the graphics properties for optimizing the print job forspecific types of illustrations. Resolution, halftoning andscaling options are available from here.FONTS PROPERTIESUse the fonts properties for adjusting how fonts must be usedin the print job. Options for True Type and PostScript fontsare available.DEVICE OPTIONS PROPERTIESUse the device options properties for telling the driver whatoptions have been installed in the printer. For example, theoptional 500-sheet Cassette and amount of memory (DRAMin the form of SIMMs).POST SCRIPT PROPERTIESUse the PostScript properties for selecting how the basicproperties for a PostScript print job must be managed.Properties such as output format and error reports for a printjob can be configured. Although PostScript timeout controlsare available, they are not recognized by the printer.
