Do not run the power cord beneath the appliance.• The wire harness provided in the blower kit is a universal harness. When installed, ensure that any excesswire is contained, prevent it from making contact with moving or hot objects.1. Turn off the electricalpower and thegas supply to theappliance.2. Remove the fireviewing door. Removethe logs.3. Detach the twoscrews from the backof the firebox andremove the panel, asillustrated.4. Remove the blower access door helf on with theremaining 8 screws. Replace the blower accessdoor gasket when changing the blower.5. Disconnect the two blower wires. Remove theblower bracket secured with one wing nut andlock washer. For thermodisc replacement: Removethe "Z" shaped mounting bracket secured to thefi rebox wall to the left of the blower. Remove thethermodisc from the bracket and replace.6. Replace the blower using the existing bracket.Slide the vibration reducing pad (A) into the clip (C)and up against the threaded stud (B) at the otherend. The blower must be able to be positionedentirely onto the pad.7. Slide the blower into the clip (C). Secure to thethreaded stud using the existing lock washer andwing nut. Ensure that the blower does not touchthe fireplace base or the fi rebox.8. Reconnect the two wires. Holding the replacementgasket in place, reattach the blower access doorand panel. Replace the logs. Reinstall the fireviewing door.9. Turn the gas supply and electricity back on.Because the blower is thermally activated, whenturned on, it will automatically start approximately 5-15minutes after lighting the appliance and will run forapproximately 30-45 minutes after the appliance hasbeen turned off. Use of the fan increases the output ofheat.Drywall dust will penetrate into the blower bearings causing irreparable damage and must be prevented fromcoming into contact with the blower or its compartment.
