25 iCN 630 user manual-ver 0.12NAVMANCONTROLS AND KEYBOARDUsing the Control ButtonsThe control buttons on the right-hand side of the iCN 630 unit allow you to navigate throughthe different screens and enter information. Many of the control buttons have more than oneuse these are described in the diagram below.Most of the time, you will use 4 main buttons OK, ESC, PAGE and the 8-way ToggleButton. The 8-way Toggle Button enables you to move a cursor around the screen ina similar manner to using the mouse on a computer. Use the OK button to confirm or make aselection. The ESC button lets you go back to the previous screen, or delete some text youhave entered. And finally, the PAGE button will allow you to jump from one screen to the next.Spend some time practising with the control buttons, and it will become easy in no time!ý5Zoom/Brightness Button:This button is used for two differentreasons:1 - Change the amount of map thatis shown. Press + to see close-upand more detail, or to see moremap area.2. Hold down for 1-2 seconds toadjust the brightness of the screen.ESC Button: ESCThis button will cancelwhat you are doing,delete the last textcharacter you typed, orreturn to the previousscreen. A useful featureof this button is that youcan delete a whole lineby simply holding thisbutton down for longer.PAGE Button:Press this button to jumpbetween different mapviews, or when a list ofoptions is spread acrossseveral screens.OK Button: OKUse this button to select thehighlighted menu option, textor command.8-way Toggle Button:Use this button to scroll up anddown through the menus, andto move around the map whenselecting your destination.Menu/Power Button:This button is used for twodifferent reasons:1 - Press to return to the mainmenu at any time.2 - Hold down for 1-2 seconds toturn on or turn off the unit.Volume Button:This button is used for two different reasons:1 Give a short press to hear the verynext instruction.2- Hold down for longer to turn the volume ofthe voice guidance instructions up or down atany time.
