E-PAK 150 DX/300 DX/500 DXEN347.2 Installation requirements7.2.1 Location and risk areaPrepare the location where E-PAK 150 DX/300 DX/500 DX is to be placedbefore installation.NOTE! E-PAK 150 DX/300 DX/500 DX needs approximately 1.0 m of freespace above the top to facilitate replacing of the main and control filters.NOTE! Keep the area around the unit free to facilitate access to the collectorbin and control filter, see Figure 3.7.2.2 FoundationThe unit is to be anchored to a hard, level and firm foundation, such as areinforced concrete foundation.Consider the following when calculating the foundation or supportingstructure:• The total weight of E-PAK 150 DX/300 DX/500 DX with accessories, seeSection ‘5.3 Technical and electrical data’).• Traction forces generated by explosion relief venting, see Section 7.2.3Bolts.• Max. weight of the collected material.7.2.3 BoltsEach of the anchor bolts securing E-PAK 150 DX/300 DX/500 DX is towithstand traction forces of 3.5 kN vertically and 1.5 kN horizontally.Recommended bolts for concrete are Hilti HDA-PF 20-M10×100/20. Ifexpansion bolts are to be used, the concrete foundation is to be preparedaccording to bolt recommendations.See Figures 7 and 8.7.3 Duct dimensioning and installationFigure 9 shows a typical vacuum duct system.7.3.1 RequirementsPlace a sign with the intended use of the vacuum system on every userinterface (workstation). Inform all personnel of the intended use of the system.Ensure that personnel using the equipment does not collect items that maycause ignition or blocking. Also, see Section 4.1.3 Isolation device.NOTE! All connected ducts are to be conductive and grounded.WARNING! Risk of explosion.Do not collect material that may cause ignition or blocking. It is strictlyprohibited to collect material that may undergo dangerous chemical or thermalreactions and/or self-ignite.
