186Chapter 25 Batch MenuPlease see page 186 for more infor-mation on the File Naming Dialog.Use Source File NameSelect Use Source File Name to save theprocessed image with original file name.FILE FORMATUse the File Format pull-down Menuto select the file format to use for theprocessed images.BIT-DEPTHUse the Bit-Depth selector to identifythe bit-depth to set the images to.Please note: Capture NX willalways use the setting identified here,but any images that originated as 8-bitfiles will remain as 8-bit files and not beconverted to 16-bit if the 16-bit optionis selected.COMPRESSIONThe Compression pull-down Menuenables you to choose what type ofcompression to apply to the images.The contents of this Menu depend onthe file format chosen.EMBED ICC PROFILESThe Embed ICC Profiles in images isonly available when you have selectedJPEG or TIFF as the file format touse. Enable this setting to embed thecurrent profile in the image whilesaving.CLOSE WHEN DONECheck the Close When Done checkboxto cause the Processing Queue windowto close when the batch process hascompleted.NOTIFY WHEN COMPLETEDThis option will create a system beepto notify you that the process has beencompleted.File Naming DialogThe File Naming Dialog provides youwith options for setting up a filenaming convention to use when batchprocessing multiple images. You areprovided with three sections to identifythe file name, and can control howthose different sections are separated.PREFIXThe contents of this section will beapplied to the beginning of the filename. You can choose from:Original NameThis option will place the original file nameat the beginning of the new file name.
