Purchase a new EN-EL19 battery.• Replace the battery when it no longer holds a charge. Used batteries are a valuable resource.Please recycle used batteries in accordance with local regulations.Charging AC Adapter• The Charging AC Adapter EH-69P is for use only with compatible devices. Do not use with anothermake or model of device.• The EH-69P is compatible with AC 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz electrical outlets. When using in othercountries, use a plug adapter (available commercially) as necessary. For more information aboutplug adapters, consult your travel agency.• Do not, under any circumstances, use another make or model of AC adapter other than ChargingAC Adapter EH-69P or USB-AC adapter. Failure to observe this precaution could result inoverheating or in damage to the camera.Memory Cards• Use only Secure Digital memory cards. See “Approved Memory Cards” (A21)for more information about memory cards.• Observe the precautions noted in the documentation included with yourmemory card.• Do not affix labels or stickers to the memory card.• When you use memory cards that have been used with other devices for thefirst time, be sure to format them with this camera. We recommend formattingnew memory cards with this camera before using them with this camera.• Note that formatting permanently deletes all images and other data on thememory card. Be sure to make copies of any images you wish to keep beforeformatting the memory card.• If the message Card is not formatted. Format card? is displayed when thecamera is turned on, the memory card must be formatted. If there is data thatyou do not want to delete, tap No. Copy the necessary date to a computer, etc.If you want to format the card, tap Yes. The confirmation dialog will bedisplayed. To start formatting, tap OK.• Do not perform the following during formatting, while data is being written toor deleted from the memory card, or during data transfer to a computer. Failureto observe this precaution could result in the loss of data or in damage to thecamera or memory card:- Open the battery-chamber/memory card slot cover to remove/insert thebattery or memory card.- Turn off the camera.- Disconnect the AC adapter.• Do not format the memory card using a computer.
