Refer to the page numbers in the right-mostcolumn for more information.❚❚ DisplayA A Note on Electronically-Controlled CamerasIn extremely rare instances, unusual characters may appear in the controlpanel and the camera may stop functioning. In most cases, thisphenomenon is caused by a strong external static charge. Turn thecamera off, remove and replace the battery, and turn the camera onagain, or, if you are using an AC adapter (available separately), disconnectand reconnect the adapter and turn the camera on again. In the event ofcontinued malfunction, contact your retailer or Nikon-authorized servicerepresentative. Note that disconnecting the power source as describedabove may result in loss of any data not recorded to the memory card atthe time the problem occurred. Data already recorded to the card will notbe affected.Problem Solution PageViewfinder is out of focus. Adjust viewfinder focus or useoptional diopter adjustment lenses. 43Viewfinder is dark.
