79Auto Exposure/Flash Exposure BracketingIn situations where you might find it difficult to obtain a properexposure, Auto Exposure/Flash Exposure Bracketing lets youshoot the same subject at two or three different exposures, witha variable exposure compensation degree of 0.3 EV, 0.7 EV or1 EV.If you set a compensation degree of 1 EV in a three-stepbracket for example, you will take three pictures, the first shothaving no compensation, the second shot having a –1 EVcompensation and the third shot having a compensation of+1 EV.1 Rotate Main-Command Dial while pressing the ‚ (AutoExposure/Flash Exposure Bracketing) button to select AutoExposure/Flash Exposure Bracketing mode. z appears in thetop and rear LCD panels and = blinks in the top LCD panel andthe viewfinder while the exposure meter is on.c In Auto Exposure/Flash ExposureBracketing, you can set CustomSetting #3 to start shooting with negative compensation,no compensation and positive compensation in that order.See page 88.You can perform only Auto Exposure Bracketing or FlashExposure Bracketing using Custom Setting #24.
