Werecommend a space of 10mm around the battery packfor cooling. Do not allow direct sunlight to shine on thebattery pack.The relative humidity should be kept below 90%(without condensation).6.2 Preparation of connections prior toinstallation6.3 Orientation of battery packThe battery pack must always be placed in the followingway when installed in rack/cabinet:The battery pack must be placed according to one ofthe following two (2) alternatives.Alternative #1Figure 26: Installation of battery pack, orientation alt. 1In alternative #1 the terminals are at the upper side (↑)of the battery pack and the IMU is on the front side (→)The positive (+) and negative (-)terminal of the battery pack shallNOT be connected to each other.This would result in a short-circuit.Inspect each terminal post. If theterminal posts show any signs ofdamage do not use the product.WARNING!The negative and positive cablesbetween the battery packterminals and the external systemmust be protected againstoverload and short-circuitcurrents.WARNING!It is important to observe thelocation and direction of theoutlet for the rupture disc wheninstalling the battery pack. Theposition of the outlet is indicatedin the illustrations in this section.Do not place any flammableand/or sensitive subjects close tothe rupture disc outlets.CAUTION!
