USER MANUAL33014817(2)2006-06 A 21DISMANTLING, DISPOSALDISMANTLINGDismantlingDisconnect the cables from the control panels payingattention to the markings on each cable and referring to thewiring diagrams.Do not remove the reference numbers from the cables andterminal boards.Hydraulic system dismantlingDismantle the hydraulic systems referring to the relevantdiagrams.Mechanical dismantlingBefore the machine mechanical dismantling, wash all partsthat come into contact with the material and thoroughly cleanthe rest of the machine.Refer to the chapter “Transportation” for lifting the machineand safety precautions to be taken.PackagingUse packing material suitable for the part weight andfeatures.DISPOSALUsed oilsUsed lubricating and hydraulic oils should not be dischargedinto the environment (waterways, sewerage systems etc.) butthey should be delivered to authorized disposal companies.It is recommended to respect scrupulously the law in force.Such materials should be stored in perfectly sealed liddedcontainers, so that the used oil cannot leak out andcontaminate other substances, including rain water. Oil filtersshould be stored in the same way and delivered to authorizeddisposal companies.Used lead batteriesUsed batteries fall into the “toxic harmful” waste category.They should be delivered to specially authorized companiesfor disposal.If not possible, “temporary storage” should be carried outaccording to the law in force. This means, first and foremost:having a temporary storage authorization. Store in perfectlysealed plastic containers with a capacity at least equal to thevolume of the battery electrolyte. On no account should rainwater leak into the containers.Material collected by the machineThe material collected by the machine can and should bedelivered as urban waste or similar to the Public CleansingServices (according to previous agreements).This is possible provided that the waste does not contain toxicor harmful substances.When cleaning environments which can presenttoxic-harmful waste, every single substance should becollected separately and with empty hopper. The wasteshould then be entirely dumped into special containers whosehandling should be carried out according to the law in forceand to provincial, regional and state rules.ScrappingAt end of the machine life, dispose of all the below listedmaterials which form the machine.It is recommended to deliver the machine to an authorizedcompany who will provide for the machine correct disposal.For the disposal of oils, filters and batteries, follow the abovedescribed procedures. The ABS and metal components canbecome secondary raw materials. Hoses and gaskets as wellas plastic and fibre glass should be sorted into separategroups and delivered to the Public Cleansing Services.WEEE 2002/96/ECNOTEMaterial should be disposed according to thelaw in force.NOTEPay the greatest attention when disconnectingthe conductors which are live even when theignition switch is in the “0” position.NOTESecure a plate to the packaging showingweight, content and any other informationnecessary for transportation.NOTEDispose of the machine different materials insuitable refuse disposal sites.NOTEAlways respect the laws in force in the countryconcerned.
