Bluetooth connectivityAbout Bluetooth connectivityYou can make a wireless connection to othercompatible devices with Bluetooth connectivity.Compatible devices may include mobile phones,computers, and enhancements such as headsetsand car kits. You can use Bluetooth connectivity tosend images, video clips, music and sound clips, andnotes; make a wireless connection to yourcompatible PC (for example, to transfer files); andconnect to a compatible printer to print imageswith Image print.Since devices with Bluetooth wireless technologycommunicate using radio waves, they do not needto be in direct line-of-sight. However, they must bewithin 10 metres (33 feet) of each other, althoughthe connection may be subject to interference fromobstructions such as walls or from other electronicdevices.This device is compliant with BluetoothSpecification 2.0 supporting the following profiles:Advanced Audio Distribution Profile, Audio/VideoRemote Control Profile, Basic Imaging Profile, BasicPrinting Profile, Dial-up Networking Profile, FileTransfer Profile, Hands-Free Profile, Headset Profile,Human Interface Device Profile, Object Push Profile,SIM Access Profile, and Synchronization Profile. Toensure interoperability between other devicessupporting Bluetooth technology, use Nokiaapproved enhancements for this model. Check withthe manufacturers of other devices to determinetheir compatibility with this device.There may be restrictions on using Bluetoothtechnology in some locations. Check with your localauthorities or service provider.Features using Bluetooth technology, or allowingsuch features to run in the background while usingother features, increase the demand on batterypower and reduce the battery life.When the device is locked, you cannot use Bluetoothconnectivity. See "Phone and SIM", p. 144.SettingsPress , and select Tools > Bluetooth.When you open the application for the first time,you are asked to define a name for your device. Youcan change the name later on.Select from the following:● Bluetooth — To make a wireless connection toanother compatible device, first set Bluetoothconnectivity On, then establish a connection. Toswitch off Bluetooth connectivity, select Off.● My phone's visibility — To allow your device tobe found by other devices with Bluetoothwireless technology, select Shown to all.
