Get startedAfter you have set up your device, switch it on and start toexplore what is new in Eseries.First start-up1. Press and hold the power key until youfeel the device vibrate.2. If prompted, enter the PIN code or lockcode, and select OK.3. When prompted, enter the country inwhich you are located and the currentdate and time. To find your country, enterthe first letters of the country name. It isimportant to select the correct country,because scheduled calendar entries maychange if you change the country laterand the new country is located on adifferent time zone.4. The Welcome application opens. Select from thevarious options, or select Exit to close the application.To configure the various settings in your device, use thewizards available on the home screen and the Settingswizard application. When you switch the device on, it mayrecognise the SIM card provider and configure somesettings automatically. You can also contact your serviceprovider for the correct settings.You can switch the device on without inserting a SIM card.The device starts up in the offline mode, and you cannotuse the network-dependent phone functions.To switch the device off, press and hold the power key.WelcomeWhen you switch on your device for the first time, theWelcome application opens. Select from the following:• Tutorial provides information about your device andshows you how to use it.• Switch enables you to transfer content, such ascontacts and calendar entries, from a compatible Nokiadevice. See "Transfer content betweendevices", p. 17.• E-mail settings helps you configure e-mail settings.• Sett. wizard helps you configure various settings.
