Messages (Menu 1)If you have subscribed to amessaging service through yourwireless provider, you can send andreceive messages to compatiblephones that also subscribe to acompatible message service. Youmay also be able to send and receivepicture messages, and e-mailmessages.Note: When sendingmessages, your device maydisplay Message sent. This isan indication that themessage has been sent byyour device to the messagecenter number programmedinto your device. This is notan indication that themessage has been received atthe intended destination. Formore details, aboutmessaging services, checkwith your service provider.■ Text messagesWrite and send1. At the standby screen, selectMenu > Messages > Textmessages > Create message >Text > Add number and pressSelect.2. Enter the recipient’s phonenumber, or press Search toretrieve a number from yourcontacts list, and press OK.3. Press Options and scroll to Editmessage and press Select.After a brief pause, the messageentry screen appears in thedisplay.4. Compose a message using thekeypad and press Options.5. Scroll to Send, and press Select.TemplatesTemplates are short, pre-writtenmessages which can be recalled andinserted into new text messageswhen you are short on time.1.
