All rights reserved.Change the lock codeTip: Avoid using codes similar to emergency numbers suchas 911 to prevent accidental dialing of the emergencynumber.The lock code controls access to features and is suppliedwith the device. The preset lock code is the last four digitsof your phone number. When you change the lock code,keep the new code secret and in a safe place separatefrom your device.1 In the standby mode, select Menu > Settings >Security settings > Access codes > Change lockcode.2 Enter the current lock code (the default is 1234), andselect OK.3 Enter the new lock code (4 characters), and select OK.4 Re-enter the new lock code for verification, and selectOK.Change the security code1 In the standby mode, select Menu > Settings >Security settings > Access codes > Change securitycode.2 Enter the current security code (the default is 12345),and select OK.3 Enter the new security code (5 characters), and selectOK.4 Re-enter the new security code for verification, andselect OK.When you change your security code, make sure you storeit in a safe place, away from your device. Avoid enteringaccess codes similar to emergency numbers to preventaccidental emergency calls.Voice privacyVoice privacy is a network service. See “Network Services”on page 8. If your wireless network operator supports thisfeature, the voice privacy feature protects the privacy ofyour current phone conversation from other callers placingphone calls on your same network.In the standby mode, select Menu > Settings > Securitysettings >Access codes > Voice privacy > On or Off.NetworkThe menu options you see in your device are based on yourservice provider’s network. The network determines whichoptions actually appear in the device menu. Check withyour service provider for more information.The Network menu allows you to customize the way yourdevice chooses a network in which to operate while youare within or outside of your primary or home system. Yourdevice is set to search for the most cost-effective network.
