Menu 3, Call SettingsMenu 3 1, Ringing VolumeYou hear each ringing level as you scroll through thevolume levels. When the phone is connected to ahandsfree desktop charger, handsfree car kit, orheadset, the ringing volume can be set separately forthose accessories with this menu.Menu 3 2, Ringing ToneThe phone plays a sample of each pattern as youscroll.Note: The ringing tone is the same for all accessories.Menu 3 3, One-Touch DialingWith this feature on, you can dial any of the phonenumbers stored in personal directory locations 2-9 bypressing and holding the number of the personaldirectory location.Note: Pressing9 and U initiates an emergency call ifthe Emergency Key 9 function is setOn! Pressing andholding1 always initiates a call to the number storedwith Menu 2 3, Set Voice Mailbox Number.Menu 3 4, Emergency Key 9With this feature on, the phone makes an emergencycall when you press 9 then U. The phone dials thepreprogrammed emergency number 911.You can also dial an emergency call by pressing andholding 9 for about three seconds, after which the call isinitiated. However, this method does not work whenKeyguard is active or when the phone is connected to amodem.Menu 3 5, Automatic RedialWhen this is on, your phone redials the number you aretrying to call (if the network is busy) up to 10 times.Press E to end the call attempts.Menu 3 6, Automatic AnswerWhen the phone is connected to the headset or thehandsfree facility of the car kit, you can set the phoneto answer a call automatically after one ring. The car kitmust be equipped with the ignition sense option.33
