The carrier code default value is null. See ""Preferredcarrier," p. 56" 56.Note: CSP function affects only long distance and international calls.If CSP is active, a 2-digit preferred carrier code is displayed with the first digit ofthe phone number entered. This code appears after you press the call key andbefore you make the call.1. Enter the long distance or international number you want to call, press thecall key, and verify that the 2-digit CSP code appears after the first digit ofthe number entered.2. Determine whether you want to turn the CSP function on or off. If you selectOn, you will be prompted to change or enter the CSP code. If you select Off,the CSP code will remain the same.■ Answer callsAnswer or silence an incoming call1. Press the call key to answer the call.2. Press the end key or Silence to mute the ringing tone; then select Answer toanswer the call, or do nothing, and the call is eventually diverted to voicemail.Answer a call with the keypad lockedTo answer a call with the keypad locked, simply press the call key. During the call,all features function as normal. When you end the call or do not answer it, thekeypad automatically re-locks. See "Lock the keypad (keyguard)," p. 20 for moredetails.When the phone is locked, calls still may be possible to the official emergencynumber programmed into your phone.Adjust the earpiece volumeWhile in a call, press up or down on the volume key, located on the left side of thephone, to adjust the volume of the earpiece.
