Roaming servicesmay be more limited than for normalcalls.Before you can use the PTT service, youmust define the required PTT servicesettings. See “PTT settings”, p. 60 and“Configuration settings”, p. 60.■ Push to talk channelsWhen you call a channel, all membersjoined to the channel hear the callsimultaneously.There are different types of PTTchannels:Public group — Every channel membercan invite other persons.Private group — Only persons whichreceive an invitation by the channelcreator can join in.Provisioned channel — Permanentchannel created by the serviceprovider.You can set the status of each channelto Default, Listened, or Inactive.Default and Listened are activechannels. When you press the volumeup key to make a channel call, thedefault channel is called if you havenot scrolled to any other channel orcontact.Add a channelTo add a channel, select Menu > Pushto talk > Add channel, and enter thesettings in the form fields:Channel status: — Select Default toconnect to this channel when push totalk is started, Listened to set thechannel active, or Inactive to disablethe channel.Chnl. security: — Select Public group orPrivate group.To send an invitation to the channel,select Yes when the phone requests it.
