S e t u p y o u r p h o n e11Adjust the earpiece volumeWhether in or out of a call, you canscroll the volume key located on theleft side of your device up or down toadjust the volume of the earpiece.When you adjust the volume, a barchart indicates the volume level.Answer a call with thekeypad lockedTo answer a call with the keypadlocked, press the call key with the foldopen. To answer a call with the foldclosed and the keypad locked, pressand hold the voice key to answer withthe loudspeaker. During the call, allfeatures function as normal. When youend or reject the call, the keypadautomatically relocks. See “Keyguard”,p. 12.When the keypad lock is on, calls stillmay be possible to the officialemergency number programmed intoyour device. Enter the emergencynumber, and press the call key.LoudspeakerWarning: Do not hold thedevice near your ear when theloudspeaker is in use, becausethe volume may be extremelyloud.You can use your phone as aloudspeaker during a call.• To activate the loudspeaker whilein a call with the fold open, selectLoudsp..• To activate the loudspeaker whenanswering a call with the foldclosed, press the voice key.• To deactivate the loudspeakerduring a call, with the fold open,select Normal.The loudspeaker is deactivatedautomatically when a call (or a callattempt) ends or when certainenhancements are connected.Call optionsMany of the options you can useduring a call are network services.Check with your network operator formore information.1.
