To prevent possibleinterference with aircraft systems, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) regulations require you to have permission from a crew member touse your phone while the plane is on the ground. To prevent any risk ofinterference, FCC regulations prohibit using your phone while the planeis in the air.Turning Off Your Phone in Dangerous AreasTo avoid interfering with blasting operations, turn your phone off when ina blasting area or in other areas with signs indicating two-way radiosshould be turned off. Construction crews often use remote-control RFdevices to set off explosives.Turn your phone off when you're in any area that has a potentiallyexplosive atmosphere. Although it's rare, your phone and accessoriescould generate sparks. Sparks can cause an explosion or fire, resulting inbodily injury or even death. These areas are often, but not always, clearlymarked. They include: Fueling areas such as gas stations. Below deck on boats. Fuel or chemical transfer or storage facilities. Areas where the air contains chemicals or particles such as grain, dust,or metal powders. Any other area where you would normally be advised to turn off yourvehicle’s engine.Restricting Children’s Access to Your PhoneYour phone is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with it as they couldhurt themselves and others, damage the phone or make calls that increaseyour invoice.Operating EnvironmentThis phone meets RF exposure guidelines when used either in the normaluse position against the ear or when positioned at least 2.2 centimeters(0.87 inch) from the body. When a carry case, belt clip, or holder is used forbody-worn operation, it should not contain metal and should position thephone the above-stated distance from your body.To transmit data files or messages, this phone requires a quality connectionto the network. In some cases, transmission of data files or messages may bedelayed until such a connection is available.
