Hold the phone with theantenna area pointed up andover your shoulder.As with any other radiotransmitting phone, donot touch the antennaunnecessarily when thephone is switched on.Contact with your phone’s antenna affects call quality andmay cause the phone to operate at a higher power level thanotherwise needed. Avoiding contact with antenna area whenoperating the phone optimizes the antenna performance andbattery life.An internal GPS antenna is activated when you place anemergency call or when you select the Location info sharingmode from the Menu > Settings > Call menu.
